High Desert Therapy Dogs is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 therapy dog group serving the Albuquerque Metro Area.
All of our handlers and their dogs have passed High Desert’s evaluation and observation requirements
and are registered with High Desert Therapy Dogs. High Desert carries an insurance policy which
covers our registered teams while visiting at an approved facility.
We routinely visit hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and nursing and hospice care facilities to bring smiles to faces that need them.
We also support outreach events at educational institutions like the University of New Mexico and APS. We provide our services for a variety of outreach events like health fairs, workgroup gatherings, and similar venues.
